Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and NimbleSL("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the NimbleScribe application and any associated services.

By downloading, installing, or using NimbleScribe, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use NimbleScribe for personal and commercial purposes on Apple Silicon Macs you own or control.

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.
• Distribute, sublicense, sell, or rent the application to others.
• Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices in the application.
• Use the application in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.

NimbleScribe is designed for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 Ventura or later. We do not guarantee compatibility with Intel Macs, future macOS versions, or any hardware configuration not listed in the system requirements.

NimbleScribe is provided as-is. We may update, modify, or discontinue the application at any time without notice.

NimbleScribe is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or meet your specific requirements. Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, ambient noise, accent, and the selected model — we make no guarantees about transcription quality.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NimbleSL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, NimbleScribe — including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the application (which is zero, as it is free).

All audio recorded and text transcribed by NimbleScribe belongs to you. We have no access to, rights over, or interest in any content you create using NimbleScribe. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is handled.

NimbleScribe uses the following open-source components, each subject to its own license:

• OpenAI Whisper — MIT License
• whisper.cpp — MIT License
• Flutter — BSD 3-Clause License

Use of NimbleScribe is also subject to the license terms of these underlying components.

We may release updates to NimbleScribe that fix bugs, improve performance, or add features. Updates are optional — you decide when to update. However, we may discontinue support for older versions over time.

You may stop using NimbleScribe at any time by deleting the application. We may terminate or suspend your access to any online components (such as update checks) at any time, for any reason, without notice.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If you have a concern, please open a GitHub Issue and we will do our best to address it promptly.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of NimbleScribe after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
